In areas where the hormonal IUS is available, women’s opinions of the method will ultimately determine if they choose to use it or not. Research is being conducted with women who are using the hormonal IUS to document their experiences with the method including what they like and dislike about the method and continuation rates.
Market research is being conducted among potential users to better understand the potential drivers of demand for the hormonal IUS and to inform forecasting and quantification efforts.
Research is also being conducted with young women to learn about their potential interest in the hormonal IUS and if and how the method’s characteristics and side effect profile might meet the unique reproductive health needs of both married and unmarried adolescents.
